Pocketloop Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: 29 January 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Pocketloop website and services. By purchasing through Pocketloop, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. About Us

Pocketloop Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales.
Company number: 17020785

References to "Pocketloop", "we", "us" or "our" mean Pocketloop Ltd.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

2. Eligibility

You must:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Have legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
  • Use the service for lawful purposes only.

We may refuse service or suspend accounts where fraud, misuse, or unlawful activity is suspected.

3. What You Are Purchasing

When you purchase through Pocketloop:

  • You are purchasing the right to receive a specified third-party gift card.
  • The gift card is issued upon redemption.
  • Until redemption, no underlying retailer gift card is issued.

The validity period for redemption is displayed on the relevant product page at the time of purchase.

Once redeemed, the gift card is subject to the retailer's own terms and conditions.

Pocketloop is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any listed retailer unless explicitly stated.

4. Redemption, Expiry and Payout Window

The redemption period applicable to your purchase is displayed on the relevant product page at the time of purchase.

You must redeem your purchase before the end of the stated redemption period. If you do not redeem before expiry, your right to receive the underlying gift card will expire.

Once redeemed, the retailer's standard terms and conditions apply. Pocketloop is not responsible for retailer policies, expiry changes, or usage restrictions.

Retailers may amend their terms from time to time. The applicable retailer terms are those in effect at the time the gift card is issued.

5. 80 Percent Return Option

If a purchased gift right has not been redeemed, you may request a payout equal to 80 percent of the original purchase value.

For the purposes of these Terms, a gift right is considered redeemed once a gift card code has been issued, accessed, viewed, or otherwise made available.

An 80 percent payout request may be submitted:

  • At any time prior to the expiry of the redemption period; and
  • During the 30-day period immediately following expiry (the "Grace Period").

After the Grace Period has expired, no payout will be available and all rights in respect of the purchase will lapse.

Payouts are subject to:

  • Successful identity verification (KYC);
  • Fraud, compliance and security checks; and
  • Verification that the gift right has not been redeemed.

The retained 20 percent represents the service fee for providing the Pocketloop platform, redemption flexibility and return option.

Pocketloop reserves the right to refuse payout where fraud, abuse or misuse is suspected.

6. No Cancellation After Purchase

By completing a purchase, you:

  • Request immediate performance of the digital service.
  • Acknowledge that you lose your statutory right to cancel once performance begins.

All purchases are final, subject only to the 80 percent payout mechanism described above.

7. Fraud and Compliance

We may:

  • Require identity verification.
  • Suspend or cancel transactions suspected of fraud.
  • Refuse payout where misuse or abuse is detected.

We are not liable for losses arising from fraudulent access to your account unless caused by our negligence.

8. Payments

Payments are processed by third-party payment providers.

We are not responsible for payment provider outages, processing delays, or errors outside our control.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant purchase.
  • We exclude liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss.
  • We are not responsible for retailer insolvency or changes to retailer policies.
  • We are not liable for loss caused by events beyond our reasonable control.

Nothing excludes liability for death, personal injury, or fraud where prohibited by law.

10. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to technical failures, regulatory changes, or third-party service interruptions.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the time of purchase applies to that purchase.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory local consumer protection laws apply.
